Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Plato. By accepting a venue installation, completing onboarding, or accessing any part of the Plato house system, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the system. These terms apply to venues worldwide, with Ghana law governing disputes.

1. About Plato

Plato is a house ordering system operated by Haomay Technologies, based in Accra, Ghana. It is specced, installed, and serviced for upscale venues so guests can order from the table, the kiosk, or the counter, with the kitchen and till kept in sync. Optional AR dish models may be commissioned for installed venues on eligible house services.

References to "Plato", "we", "us" or "our" in these Terms refer to the Plato house system and its operating team at Haomay Technologies.

2. Eligibility

To use Plato as a venue operator, you must:

Plato is available to venues and food businesses globally. Payment processing is handled via Paystack, which may have its own country restrictions.

3. Venue Accounts

Venue accounts are provisioned by Plato after consultation and a signed proposal. During onboarding you agree to provide truthful information including venue name, email address, phone number and a secure password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at hello@platoafrica.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Installation, House Service and Payment

Plato is sold as a serviced installation with a monthly house service charge. By accepting a proposal and submitting payment, you agree to the following:

No Refund Policy: All payments made to Plato — including setup fees, monthly house service fees, equipment, and per-item model fees — are non-refundable.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Plato, including dish names, descriptions, prices, photographs and 3D model files. By uploading content, you grant Plato a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and serve that content solely for the purpose of operating your house ordering system.

We strive to keep Plato available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The system may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, third-party service outages, or events beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify venues of planned downtime in advance.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if:

You may cancel your house service at any time by contacting us. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of any fees already paid.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Plato shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the system, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of guests, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Plato in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The Plato name, logo, system design, technology, codebase and all associated branding are the intellectual property of Plato and its operators. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property outside of your normal use of the system.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify venues by email where material. Continued use of Plato after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, unless mutually agreed otherwise in writing.

International venues acknowledge that by using Plato, they consent to Ghanaian law governing their use of the system.
