1. About Plato

Plato is an Augmented Reality menu platform operated by Haomay Technologies, a digital agency based in Accra, Ghana. Plato allows restaurants to create AR-powered digital menus that enable their customers to preview dishes in 3D before ordering.

References to "Plato", "we", "us" or "our" in these Terms refer to the Plato platform and its operating team.

2. Eligibility

To register and use Plato as a restaurant operator, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be duly authorised to act on behalf of the restaurant or business you are registering
• Provide accurate, complete and current registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

Plato is available to restaurants and food businesses globally. However, payment processing is handled via Paystack, which may have its own country restrictions.

3. Account Registration

When you create a Plato account, you agree to provide truthful information including your restaurant name, email address, phone number and a secure password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at hello@platoar.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payment

Plato operates on a setup fee plus monthly subscription model. By selecting a plan and submitting payment, you agree to the following:

• Setup fees are charged once upon onboarding and are non-refundable
• Monthly hosting fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing period has begun
• Additional 3D dish models beyond your plan's included allowance are charged at GHS 200 per dish
• All prices are quoted in Ghana Cedis (GHS)
• Payments are processed securely by Paystack — by paying, you also agree to Paystack's terms of service

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Plato, including dish names, descriptions, prices, photographs and 3D model files. By uploading content, you grant Plato a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and serve that content solely for the purpose of operating your AR menu.

You warrant that all content you upload:

• Is owned by you or you have the right to use it
• Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Is accurate and not misleading to customers
• Does not contain unlawful, offensive or harmful material

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these conditions without prior notice.

6. Platform Use and Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use Plato for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy or replicate the Plato platform or its AR technology
• Share your account credentials with unauthorised third parties
• Upload malicious files, scripts or content intended to harm the platform or other users
• Use the platform to misrepresent food products to customers

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep Plato available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, third-party service outages, or events beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered restaurants of planned downtime in advance.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if:

• You breach any provision of these Terms
• Payment fails and is not resolved within 7 days of notification
• We reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently or harmfully
• We are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of any fees already paid.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Plato shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of customers, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Plato in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The Plato name, logo, platform design, AR technology, codebase and all associated branding are the intellectual property of Plato and its operators. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property outside of your normal use of the platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify registered restaurants by email. Continued use of Plato after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, unless mutually agreed otherwise in writing.

International users acknowledge that by using Plato, they consent to Ghanaian law governing their use of the platform.
